One True Soldier....a collection designed for the menswear brand ONETRUEsaxon, whom which we were sponsored by.
The collection was based on uniform and utility wear...part of a 7 outfit group collection.
I knocked this jacket up in a day...I know it shows, the tailoring is not that great, but it was quite a challenge. The pattern cutting for this one gave me a real headache. It hangs like a fitted jacket, but was cut several sizes too large, then taken in in the areas which needed it in order for it to fit a size 40, and the collar was a bit of a pain. I also used two sets of shoulder pads...this coat is huge! Due to the darkness of the material on the background it's not that clear to see details. It was based on this design [link]
I love the lining...it was designed by Ambel using the ONETRUEsaxon logo, which we lazer cut into the silver satin lining, and then placed a burnt orange lining behind it. I really like the detailing on this, in particular the inside pockets...but this photoshoot was done before they were put in. I might upload a set of photos of the details in this coat. It's made in a cashmere/wool blend...I think the fabric was the major problem, as it was too thin for an overcoat, and needed some interlining added, therefore it doesn't hang as well as it should.
